We are an extended family from the USA, Canada, England,
Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Wales and Ireland.

Our last names are spelled a bit differently, but we are all descendants of
Richard Wiggall who was born in Cranham England in 1609!

The year 2000 not only began a new century, it also began a wonderful new story and experience for our family. Prior to this time there were small pockets of the Wiggalls, Wiggills and Wiggles all over the world. But none of us knew the others existed.

In March of 2000, a retired senior in Canton Michigan, USA started a very innocent search of her ancestors. She was simply interested in knowing more about her family. At that time there were about 30 families on her address list and her family tree was TYPED on three pieces of 8.5 x 11 paper and consisted of four generations. Three of these generations were born in the City of Detroit.

Within weeks, her innocent search snowballed into a fantastic discovery of her ancestors and many of their descendants! The story of how all this evolved for the last five years, is nothing less than a miracle. We now have 184 Families on our Address List from the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, England, Ireland, Wales. Our current Family Tree is 3 FEET wide and 9 FEET long. It contains 14 generations from 1609 to 2005.

On Thursday, May 19, 2005 we had a Family Reunion at the Village Hall in Cranham England. One Hundred and nine (109) folk came from the USA, Canada, Australia, South Africa, Ireland, Wales and all over England to meet their family. Most of us met for the first time.

We have gathered volumes of information about our ancestors and the villages of their birth. Along the way we’ve met lots of our family and had tons of fun. I hope this website will bring our family more information and enjoyment. It would be awesome if we find more Wiggall / Wiggill / Wiggle Family along the way!

I have proof read this project many times. Each time, I’ve found errors, typing mistakes and missing commas. I make these corrections, rewrite many sentences, tear up the original, print out a new one and think the project is done. I go to bed, pick it up the next day and start rewriting it again. I just finished proof reading it again and made more changes. I decided this morning that this website (like me) will never be perfect. I know why professional authors have editors and many staff to assist them. If I wait until there are no errors, you will never see it. So, if you have further stories and fun photos of your part of the family, please sent them along. This website is on ongoing project. If you see spelling and grammatical errors, please don’t tell me! Instead, smile and think of a Senior Citizen sitting at a computer doing her best to share neat family stories and photos of her family without the benefits of a professional staff!
