The City of Detroit was celebrating it’s 300th Birthday in the summer of 2001.  Many special celebrations were planned for that year.  One of the projects was developing a New Riverfront Promenade at the foot of Woodward Avenue and the Detroit River.  The Newspaper requested folk to purchase a “Brick or Paver” with an inscription for a memorial to their family or organization.

Four generations of the Wiggle Family were born, lived, married, worked, worshipped, died and/or buried in the City of Detroit.  We have been in this City since 1868.   So, as a memorial to the Wiggles from Detroit, we purchased a Paver.  It is located front and center of a huge project at the Riverfront in Downtown Detroit.

That summer was the Second Family Reunion in Canton Michigan.   Over 70 family members came from  Arizona, California, Oregon, Ohio, Nebraska, Louisiana, Florida, New York, Michigan and England.  It was one of the highlights of that weekend for many of the family to go to the Riverfront and see this special memorial to our family.
